Go for a Tasting at a Distillery, Brewery, or Winery
The Fort Worth area is home to plenty of local distilleries, breweries, and wineries for you to sample nearly any type of alcohol. Plus, you often get to tour the facility to see how your favorite adult beverages are made.
Head to Acre Distilling, which has bourbon, single malt whisky, gin, vodka, rum, cordials, and liqueurs to taste. Or, if you’re a vodka lover, visit BlackEyed Distilling Co. to tour the old fire station they call home. Beer drinkers can travel along the Ale Trail and check out Cowtown Brewing Co., Maple Branch Craft Brewery, Funky Picnic Brewery, and Locust Cider, among many others.
Learn Something New at a Museum
Escape the Texas heat and expand your mind at more than three dozen fascinating museums in and around Fort Worth. Go back to the Wild West when you check out Stockyards National Historic District, where you’ll find live cattle crossings, rodeos, and reenactments. Or, visit the Fort Worth Zoo where you can see over 540 animal species, from water-based creatures to large land mammals and reptiles.
You can also visit museums on your favorite subjects, including aviation and space exploration, science, Western history and cowboys (and girls), military history, and art of all kinds.
